Terms of Use

1. The marketplace

In ShortFixConnect connects customers and independent providers. The provider does the work.

A booking or an accepted quote is an agreement between the customer and the provider for that home service. FixConnect provides the listing, messaging of job status, mobile money payment, wallet, and refund tools. We do not employ the provider and we do not perform the plumbing, electrical, cleaning, or other work.

2. Accounts

You must be 18 or older. Use your own name, a real email, and a phone number you control. Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Before a provider can take work, the profile needs:

• A National Registration Card number and a photo of the card.
• A profile photo, years of experience, and a service location and radius.
• A mobile money number for payouts (Airtel Money, MTN MoMo, or Zamtel Kwacha).

We may refuse or later remove a profile that is incomplete, inaccurate, or misused. Customers and providers must not post a job, quote, or review they know is false.

3. Jobs

Customers can book a package or post a job and accept one quote. Providers complete in-progress work by uploading a photo of the finished job. Either person on the job can cancel before the job is completed. A completed job cannot be cancelled in the app. Cancellation of a paid job follows the Refund Policy.

Phone numbers between the customer and the provider are shown after payment. Use them for the job. Do not ask the other person to pay outside FixConnect for a job that was agreed in the app.

4. Payments, fees, and reviews

Customers pay the price shown on the invoice, which includes the customer service fee. Providers are credited the service price minus the platform fee. Current rates and a worked example are on the Fees page. Collection and payout rules are in the Payment Policy.

Each person can leave one review on a completed job. The provider can withdraw that job’s earnings after the customer’s review is submitted.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not use another person’s NRC, phone, or mobile money account.
• Do not upload photos you do not have the right to share.
• Do not attempt to break, scrape, or overload the app or the website.
• Do not use FixConnect for a purpose other than booking or providing a home service.

6. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page is the latest version. Continuing to use FixConnect after an update means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, stop using the app and email support@fixconnect.app to close the account.
